(RTTNews) - The total value of orders received by Germany's building industry climbed 5.4% year-over-year in price-adjusted terms in November, the Federal Statistical Office said Monday. This includes orders received by building construction as well as civil and underground engineering enterprises.

A firm wanting to build a 159,000 square-foot office building in the Vaca Valley Business Park must first get the City Council's approval Tuesday night. The council will consider entering into an agreement with KDC-HPB Investments, L.P. The firm filed an application in October to build a three-story office building on a 12-acre site in the park.
