When three vertebrae in Tonya Hutchinson’s neck snapped out of place and nearly immobilized her in May, a doctor determined a spinal fusion surgery followed by some rest would heal her. Hutchinson scheduled the surgery for July but then had a problem: She had no place to recuperate. The 31-year-old was homeless —staying intermittently between a rundown motor home and campgrounds around the county.
