RALEIGH, N.C. -- A member of the North Carolina National Guard has been killed in a weekend car accident on his way to a scheduled drill. Police say 29-year-old Sergeant James Allen Lynch of Maiden in Catawba County was killed in a single-car accident about 6:30 a.m. Saturday.
