Delphi Financial Group, ( Nachrichten ) Inc. (NYSE:DFG) announced today that its net income in the second quarter of 2007 was $42.9 million or $0.83 per share, compared to $32.9 million or $0.65 per share in the second quarter of 2006. Net income for the first half of 2007 was $82.1 million or $1.59 per share, compared with net income in the first half of 2006 of $65.7 million or $1.29 per share.

PartnerRe Ltd. today reported net income of $105.0 million, or $1.66 per share on a fully diluted basis, for the second quarter of 2007. This net income includes net after-tax realized losses on investments of $42.8 million, or $0.73 per share.
